All the New Openings in Paris to visit this Season

It’s no secret Paris is one of our favourite cities for a weekend break, and a string of new openings means it’s never been more exciting. From luxury hotels to exciting restaurants, here are the new places to know – plus, a few of our favourite bars to bookmark… – here are the hotspots to visit this season.

HOTELS

Hôtel Dame Des Arts

The 360° views from Hôtel Dame Des Arts make it worth a visit – you can see the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur, the dome of Les Invalides and Notre Dame cathedral from the rooftop. It occupies a restored 1950s building in Saint-Germain, with local designer Raphael Navot behind the interiors: 109 rooms and suites have bespoke furniture and terraces with city views. Guests can dine at the restaurant and in the adjacent garden courtyard, as well as taking in the views at the rooftop bar.

Hotel Rochechouart

This art-deco hotel in Pigalle was originally The Charleston over a century ago – a glamorous spot to see and be seen in during the Roaring 20s. Orso Hotels group has brought it into the 21st century with a destination restaurant serving French classics, a late-night rooftop bar with beautiful city views, an oyster bar and a nightclub with a speakeasy vibe. Several of the building’s original features over its eight floors have been carefully restored, including a grand art-deco staircase and a glass elevator, while the 106 rooms are modern and elegant, with warm tones, plush furniture and vintage lighting – some even have views of Sacré-Coeur. On Thursdays to Saturdays, DJs and musicians set the tone by playing disco, funk and house music until the early hours.

Le Grand Mazarin

Maisons Pariente – the luxe hotel group behind Lou Pinet in Saint Tropez and The Coucou in Meribel – is set to open the doors of Le Grand Mazarin at the end of April. The hotel is in Le Marais in the 4th arrondissement, a lively district lined with private mansions and home to the famous Picasso Museum. Inside, there are 50 rooms and 11 suites with glamorous interiors by Martin Brudnizki – think rich colours, plush materials and OTT prints – as well as a fine-dining restaurant and bar. It’s also one of the few hotels in Paris with a swimming pool.

TOO Hotel

If you want excellent views without the crowds, put TOO Hotel at the top of your list. Having opened a few months ago, it’s already popular with tourists and locals who queue outside to get into its buzzy rooftop restaurant and bar. Opened by Laurent Taïeb (also behind the Madame Rêve hotel) and with interiors by Philippe Starck, the hotel occupies the top eight floors of one of the tallest buildings in Paris. Up there, you’ll find 139 rooms and suites – some with views of the Eiffel Tower – and a chic restaurant for lunch and dinner. Nearly every room in the hotel has spectacular views, but the very best are reserved for the TacTac Sky Bar where DJs play house and jazz in the evenings while waiters deliver pan-Asian sharing plates and cocktails. There’s also a spa and an outdoor jacuzzi.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Mondaine de Pariso

Mondaine de Pariso is a new experience in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Claiming to be free of rules and conventions, the venue is set up like an opulent private party straight out of the 70s. Created by Daphné Desjeux, the huge ‘apartment’ has been imagined as a luxurious Parisian bachelor pad. Spread out over two floors, the rooms – including the Smokeroom and the Library – unfold with different experiences laid on throughout the night. Menus feature indulgent ingredients such as caviar and lobster, and the cocktails are some of the best in the city.

Alfred

For French brasserie classics, head to Alfred, which has been getting a lot of attention on TikTok thanks to its simple food and interiors inspired by glamorous holiday homes in the south of France. Chef Alexia Duchêne – probably most famous for her time in the kitchen at Allard brasserie – has created a crowd-pleasing menu of bistro favourites like steak with pepper and whisky sauce, lobster salad with fennel, and chocolate and pistachio mousse.
